GREENWOOD HOME LOANS FOCUSES ON ITS CUSTOMERS

“Always keep the customer involved,” is the philosophy that Greenwood Home Loans has been holding on to since opening in October, 2003.

“We shake your hand when you get the keys to your new home,” said Lee Misocky, one of the owners.

Misocky has been in the mortgage business for more than 15 years with various companies. She shares the business with daughter Laura Alvarez, who is a home loan specialist at Greenwood Home Loans and has been in the mortgage business for about three years.
“ We decided to merge and open our own business,” Misocky said.
Three more employees have joined the company, making a total of four loan officers and one loan manager.

“We are a hometown lender and intend to stay that way,”Misocky said.

Greenwood Home Loans had a ribbon-cutting celebration Tuesday to mark eight months of business at its new office on Montague Avenue and to thank all the businesses that have helped so far.
“ We would not have survived without their business,” she said.
“ Greenwood does well with small businesses b because it is a small town. There is unique opportunity here,”Alvarez said. “We are up-front and honest with customers. Even if we cannot do a loan, we try to help them out by giving advice because everyone that walks into our office walks out with something.”
The locally owned business can be competitive to other mortgage companies because it has the ability to lower closing costs and beat competitors at making quicker decisions, she said.
